Yep, that's right. I pick this bad boy up today and can officially start to get serious about the world known as macro. I'm buying this lens from my photography prof at the university at a great price. In fact, I have already tried it out and loved it (see http://ten77.deviantart.com/art/Rosa-Drops-2-87481032). Can't wait for spring so I can start to shoot some of the new growth and bugs.

snow fort

that's what fredericton (if not all of new brunswick) has become. the banks are so high that side mirrors have to be folded in on some streets and the 'path', if you'd like to call it that, on sidewalks is shielded on either side by 6 foot spills from the plows and blowers trying to keep things clear. this time last year i believe that i already had crocuses in bloom which are currently under about an 8 foot drift. needless to say the expression stir crazy is beginning to apply and it gets harder after each snowfall to get up in the morning. oh well... at least we're above the flood plain.

so the river continues to rise here in sunny fredericton... not sure if i'll be able to take the normal route home today at lunch. at times like these though, you can only hope for some great shots that reak of irony and/or humour with sunken picnic tables, submerged bridges and trounced roads.

hi, i want to buy a sigma 70mm-300mm, the are 55$. here is a photo of the lens. [link]

is that an older model? do you recommend it?
that's definately older than the one i have. mine is also not APO.

i would not recommend my version (DG or DL, something like that), but can't speak for that one.
Your gallery is nice.

fine nature shots
thanks so much.
So you're using deviantART again, eh? Sweet! I still use this a lot more than flickr for some reason.
I have a new account by the way, if you haven't noticed.
yeah, i like deviant better because people actually leave comments and such. everyone on flickr seems to feel the need to only do such things for their friends.

anywho, we should be able to get a few pics this weekend...
